February has been a whirlwind of exciting projects, from sound recording on feature films to documentary editing, photography campaigns, and film funding applications. Whether you’re looking for professional video editing, sound recording, sound editing, or photography services in Devon and Cornwall, here’s a look at what’s been happening in the last month.
🎬 Sound Recording for Immortium Feature Film
I had the pleasure of working on sound recording for the feature film Immortium up in Manchester, with Ryan Noir producing and starring. It was a fantastic shoot—both chill and adventurous, capturing high-quality location sound to enhance the film’s production value.
In addition to this, I’ve been in discussions about editing potential projects, including a ghost train horror story and various action-adventure shorts and features designed for online distribution.
🔥 Exciting Developments on Calling You
My psychological drama short, Calling You, is in full swing. I’ve been:
✅ Preparing applications for Exeter Phoenix and BFI film funding
✅ Scouting unique dance hall locations in Plymouth, looking for backroom and liminal space aesthetics
This is a passion project that’s quickly gaining momentum, and I can’t wait to see where it leads!
🎥 Documentary Editing – W: A Return to Oz
Post-production on W: A Return to Oz, my documentary on the legendary warehouse rave venue on Union Street, Plymouth, is progressing well. Right now, I’m editing video assets based on the radio edit I completed a few weeks back—a crucial step in crafting a compelling visual story.
📸 Photography for Everyman Cinemas & More
The Everyman Cinema photography campaign went incredibly well! Capturing events, promo shots, and venue photography was a fantastic experience, and I’m excited to collaborate with more businesses in Plymouth, Devon, and Cornwall for:
- Event photography (live music, theatre, corporate functions)
- Professional headshots for actors and creatives
- Promotional shoots for brands and venues
🎭 Filmmaking & Networking at Bristol Watershed
I recently attended a Script Factory workshop at Bristol Watershed, gaining invaluable insights into storytelling, character development, and narrative structure for short films. Next week, I’ll be heading back to the Watershed to present and pitch Calling You to potential crew and funders with my talented collaborator, Louis Holder.
To support this, I’m working on a storyboard/previsualization edit of the film’s opening scene, complete with sound effects—helping bring the vision to life before production begins.
🚀 Looking Ahead
With a packed schedule of film editing, sound recording, sound editing, and photography projects across Devon, Cornwall, and beyond, the coming months promise to be just as exciting. If you need expert post-production, sound work, or professional photography, get in touch—I’d love to collaborate!
