The coming months are shaping up to be an exhilarating period for our film editing, sound editing, and tape digitising work! With multiple projects steadily developing and new collaborations forming, there’s plenty to be excited about. Here’s a rundown of what’s in store.

Upcoming Film Projects

Two major projects are currently in motion:

  • Calling You – A psychological drama short film, currently in pre-production. As the story unfolds, anticipation is building, and we can’t wait to bring this compelling narrative to life. Stay tuned for more updates as the production progresses!
  • W: A Return to Oz – A short rave documentary that captures the essence of the infamous and famous warehouse on Union Street, Plymouth. This project is in post-production, and we’re refining it to ensure it’s a captivating, immersive experience.

We’re eager to share more details as they develop.

Collaboration with Everyman Cinemas

We are thrilled to have secured a deal with Everyman Cinemas to conduct a promotional and event photoshoot at their Plymouth venue. A particularly exciting event is the upcoming Private Hire presentation on February 12th, where businesses across the city will experience what private hire at the cinema truly offers. Our role will be to capture the emotions, engagement, and excitement of this showcase, and we’re looking forward to creating stunning visuals from this unique event.

Exclusive Tape Digitising Project

One of our most prestigious ongoing projects is a large tape digitising order for Jo Stewart Smith, a renowned writer and director at BBC Bristol, well known for her wildlife documentaries. It’s an incredible privilege to work on these high-end digital conversions, preserving her invaluable work for her portfolio and archive.

Among the collection are tapes featuring David Attenborough’s work from the 90s and early 00s. Watching these classic nature documentaries and comparing them to modern productions has been a fascinating experience. Additionally, we are honored to digitise Smith’s personal family videos, ensuring that cherished memories are preserved for generations to come. Many of these tapes required extensive cleaning and repair, which only reinforces the importance of digitisation in safeguarding valuable media before it deteriorates beyond recovery.

Editing Projects & Future Work

Beyond these major projects, we’re also tackling a variety of exciting editing assignments, including:

  • Actors’ Showreels – We’re currently working on showreels for local talent, such as Plymouth-based actor Ben Carroll, who also had a portrait/headshot photoshoot with us last month. He was thrilled with the results, and we’re excited to help him showcase his best performances.
  • Feature Films & Shorts – There are whispers of an upcoming Cornish feature film that we may be editing, along with some action-adventure shorts aimed at online distribution. More details will be revealed soon!

With all these projects in motion, we are thrilled about what lies ahead. From film and sound editing to archival preservation and exciting collaborations, we are committed to delivering top-quality work and capturing stories that matter.
